The WSHU Public Radio Group has a long history of enriching the lives of our Connecticut and Long Island radio audience with a quality news/talk format. This new service, customized for Fairfield County residents, combines the best of public radio with in-depth coverage of what’s happening in Fairfield County.
You’ll notice the change – We expanded our news staff so that we can provide solid, first-hand reporting on the news and topics important to our home county. Tune in for special, Fairfield County-focused versions of NPR’s popular Morning Edition, All Things Considered, and Weekend Edition. We also broadcast local traffic and weather reports, along with breaking news, throughout the day.
And a lot that’s familiar, too – We still bring you the best of public radio from NPR, the BBC, and other acclaimed sources. That includes such favorites as Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!, The Diane Rehm Show, Car Talk, Fresh Air, and much, much more. And because WSHU Fairfield County Public Radio is listener-sponsored, we bring it all to you without commercials or outside influence.
